Tena Valley

La Cuniacha is neither a zoo nor a theme park, but a wood where you can spend two or three hours or even the whole day as you'll find many resting places where you can take in the breathtaking scenery or have refreshments.
It's located just two Km. from the village of Piedrafita de Jaca ( in the Tena Valley ) and has ample parking spaces for cars and tour buses.
Visitors who follow the signposted trail around the park will be pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the woods and the chance to see and interact with the animals, who have populated the Pyrenees for thousands of years, in their natural habitat.
Along the paths you will come across deer, roebucks, fallow deer, reindeer, mountain-goats, European bison, lynx, wolves, and Przewalski horses.
You will see them feeding, resting, rearing their young, interacting and playing.
You will also be able to enjoy the botanic route and learn to distinguish pine trees, hawthorns, beech trees, birches, ash trees, teal woods, oak woods, poplars - all of these among charming meadows and varied Pyrenean woods.
There are also display boards where you can take in and discover the immensity of the Pyrenean peaks and ranges.
